RobTop Games released the third and final Geometry Dash 2.2 sneak peek on May 15, 2023. It makes heavy use of a new sound effect trigger.

Earlier, RobTop said that sound effects would be saved for Geometry Dash 2.3 instead of 2.2. But this new sneak peek shows that he changed his mind and added sound effects to update 2.2.

This news was shared in the Geometry Dash Discord server.

However, this raises some controversy. Geometry Dash 2.2 has been in the works for over 6 years, mainly because RobTop keeps adding new features that he says he won't.
